03/10/21 – Post match Interview – Paris Schofield

Following a 6-1 Win away in the Vitality FA Cup second qualifying round, Midfielder Paris Schofield shares her immediate reactions to the win and advancement in the competition.

On her immediate reaction post the game –

Yes, a very positive away win which now has given us another shot in the next round of the FA Cup. I feel that throughout the game each player played their role to get us ahead keeping control of the game.

On scoring two goals to get on the scoresheet – 

I’m so happy to have scored two goals and hopefully there will be more to come throughout the season.

On her ability with long shots to threatening the opposition –

Yeah, I would say long shots are one of my strengths, usually the opposition aren’t expecting it so I like to test the keeper.

On playing for the whole 90 and the importance of squad rotation – 

Being 16 and moving up to women’s football, it felt good to play the full game and hopefully I can maintain this level of performance and to take my weaknesses and improve on it in training and games. I am lucky to be in an experienced team and know I will learn a lot from my teammates. I feel with rotating players each player has their own qualities to bring to the match which can only be a good thing.

On advancing in the FA Cup – 

I am feeling really positive going into the next round and I know our team will give it their all to get to the end result.
