Following an impressive 6-0 victory over Coventry City Women, Lottie Etterley shares her reactions to the team performance and looks ahead towards next Sunday’s Vitality FA Cup game against Lye Town Ladies.

Lottie Etterley –

1) How are you feeling after that win and it being Towns first away fixture this season?

“Great to get another win, and good to do so away from home.  It showed as a team we can continue to work together in unfamiliar settings.”

2) You were brought on playing centre half to the team, do you enjoy the rotational ability of the squad and being versatile to fill different roles?

“I think we have great strength and depth in the squad in all areas of the pitch. I’m keen to play my part to help the team in any way I can and keep developing my positional play.”

3) With this being Town’s first away fixture of the season, do you think this gave the team a confidence boost that they can get the results on away days as well as at home

“I think confidence is high in the team at the moment and our first win away from home helped boost this. It was especially rewarding to keep a clean sheet.”

4) The team did well to control the game throughout the 90, how impressed were you with the team’s performance to stick to the gameplan?

“I think we’re really gelling as a team and continuing to develop our play and put into practice what we learn in training.”

5) Looking ahead to next weekend’s important game against Lye in the FA Cup, how important was it for town to pick up momentum from today’s win to carry them over to next week?

“It’s great to go into the first-round proper of the fa cup on the back of another win. We know that Lye Town will pose a different kind of threat but we are all looking forward to the challenge.”
