Shrewsbury will travel to Coventry for their fifth league fixture. So far, the team have been dominant in their matches this season with high scoring games helping create a large goal difference in the league table.

Tom Peevor –

1) This will be the first away day in many weeks, do you think the team are prepared to adapt to not playing at home and on different grounds?

“Absolutely yes, there are always potential challenges when playing away but we have made every effort to minimise their impact so our team can perform at their best.”

2) As we get further into winter the conditions for training and matches get tougher and tougher, how are the team dealing with these tough playing conditions?

“No difference at all really, the team still turn up with a competitive attitude and understand how important training hard is, if we want this season to be a success.”

3) Momentum is at a high for the team, and with an important FA Cup match next weekend the team will be looking to continue this run of form and momentum through this weekend. How important is it for the team to not drop off this weekend?

“We know how important it is that we approach this game in the same way we have approached every other game. Our game against Coventry is a big game for us where we need to focus on our performance to make sure we win.”

4) Coventry haven’t had the best start to the season, it could be easy for the team to underestimate them going into the game, how key is it for the team to take on the challenges Coventry may put on Shrewsbury just like any other team and not underestimate them?

“We have to approach this like any other game, focus on the things we can control and make sure we are prepared to perform our best.”

5) Coventry may give you the opportunity to rotate some players and allow some playing time to some who haven’t had the chance yet so far this season. May we see a changed squad to bring something different Coventry.

“Firstly, we will be selecting the strongest squad we can in order to win the game. The starting eleven are the players we think will give us the strongest possible start in the game, we then have five talented players on the bench who will be needed to come on and perform for the team. We won’t be taking this game lightly.”
