Tom Peevor reflects on the impressive comeback victory at home against Chester Women:

Following a tough game that saw Shrewsbury being behind after the first half, Tom Peevor discusses how he was able to bring Shrewsbury back to winning ways against Chester Women’s

On towns performance against Chester:

“It was another positive performance from the team. They had a few problems to solve along the way but they worked well together to find the solutions. We found it hard to find the back of the net initially, but we created some excellent chances and was able to capitalise on them in the second half.”

On the impressive comeback, what Tom did at half time:

“The players fed back to each other which was great to see. Everyone reflected together to talk through what we needed to do and then we executed the game plan really well. The attitude and environment that the players have created already is the best I’ve experienced. This allows players to coach each other and keep improving. It makes my job a lot easier!”

On the important impact Jess Walley had in the second half:

“We switched positions slightly in the second half which seemed to work for Jess. All three of her goals were excellent, it’s great to see her playing so well after a couple of weeks in the new team. She has been one of many good additions we have made to the squad. I’m looking forward to helping her improve further over the coming season.”
