Kick Off
An early break from Wyrley from an intercepted pass leads to play out wide, whipping the ball into the town box but is collected by Pheobe in goal for Town.
Shot tried by Shrewsbury on the edge of the box by Maddie Jones, it’s fast and low but direct to the keeper and calmly dealt with to stop Shrewsbury’s attack.
A free kick for Wyrley is whipped towards the box but cleared before it can land in the Town box by Abbie Mcshane to stop the attacking threat.
Libby Veitch tries a curled shot on the edge of the box, it’s towards the bottom right corner but the keeper comes across to collect the shot, its distributed out to counter attack but town are able to regain control.

SHR 1-0 WYR
Shrewsbury look to be the attacking team this game with Wyrley having to defend more than having time on the ball to attack.
An over the top first touch pass from Wyrley draws the keeper out to collect, it’s close but Peobe just grabs the ball before the Wyrley player can chip her, a strong chance for Wyrley to be able to equalise but well dealt with by Town’s goalie.
A great attack coming from the back for Shrewsbury, all from Pheobe distributing perfectly, into well placed passes from the midfield which all leads to a shot at goal, it’s to the keeper and safely handled, but Shrewsbury looking very switched on and dangerous to Wyrley.
From a free kick for Town play is built up all the way to the box and Maddie Jones finishes the ball into the bottom corner of the goal, a very nicely worked goal followed by an equally nice finish.

After that goal Wyrley look demotivated and Shrewsbury truly look to be the team in complete control of the game.
Maddie Jones finds the ball at her feet again, she’s able to bring it into a good area and delivers another great finish to put Shrewsbury well into the lead.

A great attack from town has a ball whipped in from the line, it’s straight to Liv’s head but the header is just wide of the goal, that would have been a lovely piece of play to lead up to a great headed finish.
All play taking place in the Wyrley half as it’s all Shrewsbury attacking in this half, with not much press going on from Wyrley, Shrewsbury are able to run all possession.
The Shrewsbury Defence stopping all Wyrley attacks before they get any depth into a Town’s half, so far this game the defence has been exceptional with no shots at goal happening for over 50 minutes of the game now.
Mia Pugh has space on the edge of the box and fires a shot at goal, the shot is connected well and soars towards the goal, but the keeper is able to block the shot.
Some lovely build up from the Shrewsbury again all the way from the defence played up to the forwards, sees Mia Pugh again with a lovely strike finish into the top corner.
67’ – Mia Pugh
7-0
A Shrewsbury attacking domination on display this game as the town defence are hardly challenged by Wyrley.
The first corner of the game sees the ball fumbling across the goal, it’s there to be tapped in but no town player is able to stick a foot it, they’ll be disappointed to have not picked up another easy goal there.
A run down the left wing by Mia Pugh has her whipping the ball in to the box, the cross finds Shannon McShane who finishes over the keeper in impressive fashion.
79’ – Shannon McShane
8-0
Wyrley not getting time to breathe this game as Shrewsbury are back on the offense after the goal, with this time sister Lily Mcshane finding herself in the goalscoring opportunity and converting that opportunity into another goal.
81’ – Lilly McShane
9-0
Paris Schofield find space outside the box and tries a long shot, she has been able to test keepers in previous games with her long shots, and she’s able to do even more damage to Wyrley, it’s tucked into the he bottom left out of the keepers reach to make it 10, an impressive high scoring display from Town.
85’ – Paris Schofield
10-0
Shrewsbury hold of for the rest of the game stopping some offensive chances from Wyrley to see themselves to the final whistle.
