About the sessions

Shrewsbury Town are thrilled to be working with The Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust to provide a fantastic opportunity for military veterans in our community.

Using our extensive experience providing social interaction and physical activity, we know this new weekly drop in session will give veterans a sense of belonging.

This safe space will allow for peer support, improving health and mental health. Ex-service personnel of any age will be welcome for a cuppa, a chat and to get some exercise in our fantastic venue.

Our staff are trained to provide sport for all abilities and even provide exercises classes for common health conditions, aches and pains. We have it all – so if you know anyone who fits the bill or even family of veterans that would benefit from fun afternoon out, don’t hesitate to get in touch.

We want to encourage all members to stay physically active and so we will endeavour to provide exercise sessions and fun activities that are safe, appropriate and effective. These include bowls, yoga, seated exercises, circuits, walking football, walking hockey, walking cricket, walking for health and many more.

We already have a library of exercise videos available on our Facebook page, ready for you to try out at home.
