Following the 4-1 in the second league fixture for Town Tom Peevor shares his views on the team’s performance and looks ahead at how this good run of form could continue throughout the season.

On his reaction to the game –

“I’m really pleased with our performance today, despite missing players due to injury we’ve controlled the majority of the game against a good side in Sandwell. The players who stepped in and who have come off the bench have made a big impact and meant we kept control.”

On dealing with the physical opposition –

“I felt we coped very well physically and we took control of possession for huge periods. The standard of play was a great advert for local women’s football.”

On the defensive performance –

“We have worked a lot on our style of play, which suits the players we have. This helps us to prevent goal scoring opportunities and score lots of goals.”

On whether the team can continue the good run of form –

“Confidence is high and we want to keep winning, those players that have started games know they have other good players waiting to take their place so no one can rest for a moment. We have to keep standards high consistently.”
