Following an impressive 7-2 win to start of the season, Harry brown reflects on the performance and looks towards next weekends FA cup match back at Walsall.
On the impressive match performance –
“It’s great to get off to winning start and get lots of goals in the process, it will give us a lot of confidence going forward into the rest of the season.”
On the fitness of the team to last at a high level for the whole 90 minutes –
“Yeah the conditions for the match were quite tough as it was really hot, but the team coped with that. They stayed focused and managed the game well. There’s lots of competition for places this season and the players who came on made a big impact which is great to see.”
On playing Walsall again next week and if this game boosted confidence –
“Winning the game last weekend will certainly give the team confidence, as it was a really strong performance. But every game is different so we can’t afford to take the game lightly and think that it will be a repeat of last weekend. Walsall will have looked at the game and possibly make some adjustments so we need to be fully focused on what we know we need to do to win again this coming weekend.”
