After a tough FA Cup match knocking Town out of the competition, Tom Peevor and his team will be looking to comeback strong against top of the league Shifnal. With top position in the league up for grabs it will be a tough game for either team as it may be their toughest game of the season. Tom Peevor shares his thoughts heading into this Sunday’s fixture and what he expects from both teams.

This will be a tough away day for the team this season, possibly the toughest, being against top of the league Shifnal. How are you feeling going into this weekend’s game?

“We are really looking forward to playing Shifnal. We are confident going into the game and are aware of the threat they bring. We have prepared well.”

The team will want to get back to winning ways after last weekend’s unfortunate result, how eager are the team going to be to put on a good performance?

“This group have a fantastic mindset, numbers have been really high at training and their attitude has been that of hard work and positivity.”

A win against Shifnal this Sunday would put Town at the top of the league, how important is it for the team to stay calm and composed this weekend to preform to the best of their ability?

“The team know exactly what their roles are this Sunday, all there is to do now is prepare well. They will not need extra motivation for this game.”

Has the game last weekend changed anything for the way you’ll be going into this game, are positions up for grab if performance is good at training?

“It hasn’t changed us too much, we have been able to reflect on where we are at currently which has been great. Positions are always up for grabs and every player knows this.”
