Tom Peevor pre-match interview (Aberystwyth) 

For the next game in the pre-season journey Shrewsbury Town Women find themselves heading west to Aberystwyth. The last game was a tough home battle against Wolves and Tom Peevor looks ahead at the also challenging side of Aberystwyth Town LFC 

On what we can expect in the next game

It’s another tough test for us and we have most of the squad available which is great. It will allow all players to get valuable minutes and give us the chance to experiment with our team selection. 

On the difference of playing away

It’s a good opportunity for the team to get used to travelling away. It also allows the team to gel a bit more and enjoy a trip to the beach. 

On how eager the squad are to start the season

Yeah, it’s getting to the stage where we have to be ready for our first league game. The team have learnt a lot so far about how we will play this year and it’s great to see so much competition for places. It is helping to push each player individually. The most pleasing thing so far has been the attitude and environment created by the players. It makes my job a lot easier!
