This weekend will see our Shrewsbury Women take on their toughest challenge of their pre-season journey so far, with a visit from Wolves Ladies. Tom Peevor previews this upcoming fixture and how the team are preparing for this challenge

On the challenge of the next game

“We are looking forward to playing against Wolves again. It is going to be a really tough test for us, but one that will be great for our league preparation. We are still learning our playing style and this will provide us with a great chance to practice it against good opposition.”

On whether a more defensive tactic will be used against Wolves

“We will have to adapt to playing a different team absolutely. It is up to the players to assess the game and problem solve throughout in order to be competitive for the 90 minutes. I’m looking forward to watching how we work together to do this.”

On the comeback victory last week and how that’s helped the players mentality

“Yeah definitely, it’s great to see us show resilience and find a way to win. This is something we need to keep developing throughout pre-season and will be key to our success this year.”
