About the business

Throgmorton Associates are a Senior Partner Practice of St. James’s Place Wealth Management and provide clients (both individuals and businesses) with a bespoke, holistic approach that identifies solutions and helps them to achieve their financial goals and objectives.

Our Shrewsbury office is based on Shrewsbury Business Park we have clients within Shropshire and beyond. Our emphasis is on maintaining long-term relationships and to provide a source of trusted advice as financial needs evolve over the years. Our client service charter ensures that everyone knows what we will do and when, but also details what additional resources are available (e.g. E-Briefing service and client online portal). This approach sets us apart from the competition and we take the number of introductions to colleagues, friends and relatives of existing clients as a great compliment.

Specialities within the Practice are investment planning, retirement planning, inheritance tax planning and mortgages; however, for the majority of clients we manage all aspects of their wealth management as often specific areas overlap when looking at ‘the bigger picture’.

Your home may be repossessed if you do not keep up repayments on your mortgage.

Outside of his work as a financial planner, amongst other things Nick is a Trustee of Shrewsbury Town in the Community and participant in many fund- raising challenges. Before their merger in April 2021, Nick Jones Wealth Planning had sponsored and helped organise annual golf days for the charity for a number of years. They were also a founder member of the ‘Friends of the Community’ Scheme.

The Partner Practice is an Appointed Representative of and represents only St. James’s Place Wealth Management plc (which is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority) for the purpose of advising solely on the Group’s wealth management products and services, more details of which are set out on the Group’s website www.sjp.co.uk/products. The title ‘Partner Practice’ is the marketing term used to describe St. James’s Place representatives.

About their sponsorship

We are so proud of the ongoing relationship with Throgmorton, their support has enabled us to grow our projects, and strengthen our reach. This year we are delighted that they will be sponsoring our annual Golf Day – this event will see 18 teams join together to raise funds for STitC and raise awareness of the work we’ve been able to achieve throughout the year. This year we’re also delighted to have Nick Jones and Sean Clifford from Throgmorton Associates participate in our Bike 2 MK Dons cycling event, taking on the 120 mile challenge!

Nick Jones, Director of Throgmorton Associates, said;

“As a founding member of the corporate supporter scheme seven years ago, we have enjoyed seeing this charity flourish.

With the evolution of our Practice last year it is important to us to demonstrate that we still care for the people in our community. We are looking forward to engaging with fellow members and the team and I will take part in a number of events throughout the year.

Giving back really matters to us and this is one of the best ways we can do that as a company.”

Milly Wheeler, Fundraising and Partnerships Manager, said;

“Nick Jones and Throgmorton have supported us from the very start of our initiative and we’re obviously delighted to see them continue this relationship. They are setting the standard in the ways that they are giving back to the community, and we can’t wait to see how we can grow with the help of their support”
